Jasmine Dragon Pearls
Jasmine Downy/ Dragon/ Phoenix Pearls, or
Buddha’s Tears in the Western saying,
according to the grades, are superior grade
Chinese jasmine teas. They are incredibly
popular and will delight you whether you are
a beginner or the most avid tea drinker. It is
hand-rolled the tender shoots of only 3 of the
youngest tea leaves and buds into spherical
"pearls" like shaped and then wrapped in silk
mesh and dried by fire to set the form. Each
pearl is streaked with the pale white down of
the buds. Scenting the pearls six times with
fresh jasmine flowers gives the finished tea
its final character. When steeped, the
"pearls" slowly unfurl into long needle
shaped leaves releasing its light and
wonderful aroma. The strong fragrant aroma
is fresh and persistent. The taste is delicious
and mellow.
