Da Hong Pao
Grand Scarlet Robe is one of the most famous Chinese oolong tesa. There are many mythic stories about
Da Hong Pao tea. Legend goes that an Emperor  clothed the bushes with red robes whose leaves had
cured his mother's illness. "Hong" means "red" and "Pao" means "robe" in Chinese. It has dark green
leaves with purple-red stripe and vein. It is incredibly flavourful tea from the stems of the tea plants among
the rocks in Wuyi Mountain, so it is also called "
Wuyi Yan Cha", Wuyi Rock Tea.  This famous tea is noted
for its strong sweet-osmanthus  fragrance, smooth, yet so mellow aftertaste.
